School Uniform

All parts of our school uniform are statutory. It shows how proud we are to be members of St Andrew’s Benn C of E Primary School and that we are all equals.

Should all be clearly marked with first and second names

Nursery children should wear the school sweatshirt.

Uniform can be purchased either online or in store from the Webb Ellis Shop (in Rugby town) or online with My Clothing.

Book bags are also available from the school office £7.00, if you would like one of these, then orders and payments can be made via School Spider.

The uniform consists of:

Black or grey school trousers, skirt or shorts (smart)

White or blue school polo shirt (with or without the crest)

Blue school sweatshirt or cardigan

Black, white or grey tights or socks

Blue and white checked summer dresses

Children are not permitted to wear any other variations of clothing such as jeans, leggings, jogging bottoms or any other named clothing.

Children must wear black school shoes without patterns. They MUST NOT wear high heels or trainers. If children wish to wear boots, please ensure they are ankle length boots only.

PE Kit

PE kit should be kept in school at all times.

Black shorts or tracksuit bottoms

White T-shirt

Black pumps/plimsolls for indoor PE

Trainers for outdoor PE

School Tracksuit - hoody and jogging bottoms (these can be purchased from Webb Ellis only)

Jewellery

They may wear stud earrings and a watch. Children must be able to remove these for PE lessons.

No other jewellery is permitted.

Hair

Children may have short hair but we do not allow any shaved patterns or lines. The braiding of hair is permitted, provided that any colours that are weaved into it are only of a natural hair colour (i.e. a shade of black, brown, blonde or ginger) and that there is not an extreme different between this and the child’s natural hair colour.

Make-up

Children are not permitted to wear nail varnish or any other types of make-up or glitter.

Swimming

Children in Year 3 and 4 go swimming at the Queens Diamond Jubilee Centre. Swimming lessons are part of the National Curriculum. Your child should take a swimming costume; a towel and a weekly payment to cover the cost of transport, not the lessons. These payments should be sent into school in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name and the title ‘Swimming Money’.

Any children who do not wear the correct uniform will need to change into the spare clothing and shoes we keep in school.
